2026 Rules and Guidelines


All these rules and guidelines are in place for the protection of all the campers and the owners of the campground. It creates equality for all campers.

RV Sites

Maximum of 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 18. Only one tent is allowed on an RV site and only for children under 18 years old. All sites are for one camping unit.

Tent Sites

Maximum of 2 adults and 3 children, one tent per site. A second tent will be allowed for children under 18 years old. A $40.00 cash deposit is required for tent sites at the time of arrival. The deposit will be returned at the end of stay, as long as the site is left clean and free of any damage.

General

  • All ROADS are ONE-WAY, except the main entrance. Stop at all stop signs and stay on the gravel roads. If you drive on the grass, you will need to stomp out your mess!
  • The SPEED LIMIT is 5 MPH and is STRICTLY ENFORCED.
  • Check-in time is 1:00 PM Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Quiet Time is from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. All children must be back at their campsite by 9:00 PM.
  • Early Check-ins & Late Check-outs, please call and check with the office, only on the day you are requesting an early check-in or check-out, for availability. The rate is $5.00 per extra hour.
  • For safety, please accompany your children 6 years old or younger while they are enjoying the campground.
  • Basketballs, footballs, volleyballs, beachballs, horseshoes, badminton rackets and birdies, ping pong, corn hole, ladder ball, Kan Jam and so many more games are available for use. Please use the sign-out sheet at the camp store.
  • All children under the age of 14 must wear an approved bicycle helmet per New York State Law. Riding is permitted between dawn and dusk only. No electric bikes.
  • Two cars are allowed per site, all others must park in an area designated by the office at check-in. No work trucks, trailers, or work related equipment.
  • The pond is for fishing (catch and release only). No swimming or boats are allowed.
  • Hiking trails are for foot traffic only. Bicycles or motorized vehicles are not allowed on the hiking trails.
  • Firearms, illegal drugs, fireworks, including sparklers, are NOT allowed on the property.
  • Please do not use grills on the plastic tables, they will melt. If needed, please ask us for some wood to use to protect the table.
  • There is absolutely no dumping gray/black water on the ground at any time. This will result in an Encon fine to you, and immediate termination of your agreement.
  • A dumpster is located across from the store and shall only be used for household waste accumulated from within the campground. No bulky items or hazardous waste are allowed.

Visitors

All visitors shall register at the camp store before going to a campsite. A maximum of 2 adults, 3 children, or 4 adults. Day visitors, 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, are $7.00 per person. Overnight stays are $15.00 per person. Children under 5 are free. No visitors shall enter the campground before 9:00 AM or after 7:00 PM. If you plan to have guests at your site, let management know in advance so we can plan parking arrangements. Also, remember to be fair to everyone else, guests may not use the pool, unless given permission from management. Registered site occupants are fully responsible and liable for the actions of all their visitors.

Pets

You must provide a valid rabies certificate at check-in for each dog. You must clean up after your pets, including pet fur, and dispose of both in the dumpster, not bathrooms. A maximum of 3 dogs are allowed. Barking and/or nuisance dogs will not be tolerated and will be asked to leave. Dogs shall not be left unattended at any time in the campground. Dogs must be on a leash and accompanied by an adult at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the store, rec hall, bathrooms or pool area.

Firewood / Propane

Firewood, fire starters, and propane are available for purchase in the store from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Cutting of any trees or branches, dead or alive, is prohibited. Hide-a-Way Campsites follows DEC rules regarding the transportation of firewood. You must have a DEC transport permit filled out upon arrival. Transport permits are available on the DEC website. Any firewood brought in that is not within the above DEC guidelines shall be removed immediately from the grounds. Campfires must be extinguished before leaving your site or before retiring to your camper for the night. Please do not use the fire rings for trash disposal or leave trash in your fire ring as the wind will blow it about the campground.

Pool

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY, SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK, NO DIVING. Pool hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, approximately mid-June to after Labor Day. No food, alcohol, or glass containers are allowed in the pool area. NY State Law: All campers and their guests must sign a waiver at the camp store before using the pool. Additionally, there is a daily sign in sheet located at the pool entrance which one adult must sign for your group. A minimum of 2 adults must be present at all times, with 1 adult on the pool deck. The pool will be closed at the management’s discretion during inclement weather or emergencies.

EV Charging

At this time we do not have availability for EV charging in the park or at our sites. EV charging is available 5 miles away at The Serious Brewing Co.

Hide-A-Way Campsites or its management will not be responsible for any damage, vandalism, fire, or act of nature to your camping unit or any other private property on your site. Campers shall have a copy of their insurance policy for their camper and any vehicle brought into the campground and will provide a copy of their insurance policies to management, if requested.

Each camper agrees to abide by these rules and all of our guidelines. We reserve the right to evict any person, family, or visitor who in our opinion is violating the rules and guidelines, vandalizing, creating a disturbance, etc. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. Evicted persons shall be responsible for any and all cost, disbursement, and or fees incurred by Hide-A-Way Campsites to remove your camper and personal items from the campground.
